I did this illustration for fun, it's of Disney's Jessica Rabbit from "Who framed Roger Rabbit". I drew out the character first then rendered it in illustrator.
You mentioned that you didn't think this was 'good' which is entirely wrong. I love this, it's a great use of illustrator, and you've made her look very fluid. Especially the hair, and I also like the lips. Don't be discouraged from using illustrator.
